Spring Break--Day 1

I think today we effectively used up every last ray of sunshine and good weather.

By 9 we were making our way into the zoo. Me, Miss Gigi and the 6 kids we have between us. We had a great time in between trips to the potty. Let's just say with 5 out of 6 not in diapers, we pretty much checked out each and every bathroom.

Our group was fun and happy and loud and giddy and generally full of action, but they had nothing on the animals!

Several of them came right up to the glass and gave us all kinds of attention. We also had the excitement of animal life. That means we got to see lots of different animals poop. The lions also put on a show, that, well, let's just say the kitties were feeling frisky. Ahem.

Wonder if the day could get any better? Believe it or not, it did.

My neighbors are generous and wonderful even if I sometimes make a little fun of them. I just assume the rest of the world makes a little fun of me!

Last week one of my neighbors brought me an arm load of boys summer clothes. Super nice. Saved me a trip to the store with boys in tow. I owe her big. Today my other neighbor came over with one of her daughters bikes. Yeah, I said one of, it's that kind of a thing. She said they were giving away 2 of her old bikes, one to my daughter and one to another girl in the neighborhood. Honestly, it has white tires that are still white. Plus, her husband came over and adjusted the seat and training wheels. Wait, it gets better. It's purple and says princess on it.

Then just to cap off a great day, we're going to be uber lazy, order pizza and watch sports until bed time.

Must be spring break.
