I'm having a heck of a day with Little One post-op today, so I thought I'd just play a game.
The beautiful Ms. Melinda Sue over at Put On Love is playing 20 Questions today, so I'm playing too. Follow the link and visit her lovely blog. Leave her a comment and say hi, she'd love it.
You all know how to play 20 Questions, so I'll just get started. Leave your answers in the comments or on your own blog, but leave us a note in the comments so we can come visit your blog too!
20 Questions
1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?
I thought how cool it was that the whole house was still quiet and sleeping!
2. Do you miss anyone right now?
Yes. Dr. K. More than I have words to say it.
3. If you could move anywhere else, would you?
I would live close to water, sand and trees. I would want to have seasons, but to have it be warmer for more of the year.
4. If you could choose, what would your last meal be?
I don't think I could say today what I'd want the last meal to be(assuming that's off in my future somewhere) but I do think that I'd like to be the one making it. I sometimes think I love the cooking more than the eating, and really, I love my own cooking.
5. What famous person, dead or alive, would you want to have lunch with?
It's kind of cliche, but I'd love to have lunch with Jesus, because in my mind, he's a pretty straight forward guy with a pretty decent sense of humor. I'd love to be able to sit down with him and ask questions, you know, like, was this the lesson I was supposed to learn from this event?
6. What was the last book you read?
The last one I finished was The Monkey and the Fish. I'm in the middle of quite a few: Too Small To Ignore, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Inkheart, So Long Insecurity, Crazy Love, Fireproof and Power of a Praying Parent. Yeah, all at once, it's just how I read.
7. What was the last movie you watched?
Sad to say, Ponyo. I got nothing to say about that or that movie.
8. What was the last song you heard?
It was my favorite, Better Than a Hallelujah, Amy Grant. Love, love, love it.
9. What is your dream vacation?
I hate to say this one too, sun, water, sand, no kids, no schedule, no electronics, just peace, warmth and sleep.
10. What is the next trip you will take?
Well, if we get our act together, it'll be Disney, yeah, shoot me now.
11. Did you ever go to camp?
Once, in high school, I went to a very short cheer leading camp. All I remember about that camp was being a "flyer" and having college men toss me in a basket toss. There is nothing like it.
12. Have you ever been in love?
Many, many times and I consider it all richness in my life and my story.
13. What do you want to know about the future?
Honestly? Nothing. One day at a time is enough for me.
14. Where is your best friend?
I believe she's back home now after traveling the world...wish I had known she had been gone...
15. How is your best friend?
I hope doing better, but I know she is still sad and hurting and lonely.
16. Who is the biggest gossiper you know?
I think it changes with the subject, but I often find I'm shocked at what comes out of my own mouth...I spend a lot of time in prayer over my tongue.
17. What does your last text message say?
Funny because I'm texting as I'm putting this post together. I said: I think that's how it goes too. The first day they're still drugged and swollen. Today. Not so much. He really does seem better now. Hoping for a good nap today too.
18. What are 3 things you've always wanted to do, that you still plan to accomplish?
Write the book, publish the book, write the next book
19. What is the one thing you learned from your parents?
Let it go. Stuff happens and there is no point in hanging on to it, just let it go.
20. What is one thing you hope to teach to your own children?
I hope they learn to love people.
