Tired Kids, Finally!

Last week was busy, but a good busy. I still have the stupid sinus/ear infection thing, but it seems to finally be getting better. I hope.

For the last 10 days we've had two 2 year olds and it's gone remarkably well. Way better than I expected. In a way they wore each other out.

The Little Mr.'s spent Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Adventure Camp. It was amazing and they were wiped out. The little kids and I went to about a dozen appointments, but they still did great. We had a few trips to the park too.

On Friday afternoon The Mr. skipped out of work a little early, to make up for the first three days of the week when he worked all night! During the giant storm we sat in Kopps and ate custard. It was a great view of all the lightning and a tasty distraction.

Yesterday morning Little One went on a visit and I took the rest of the kids to watch Littlest Mr. play ball, and of course watch The Mr. coach. It was a really great game and good weather too.

After that, we met a bunch of friends at the local pool. Everyone had tons of fun and got really tired.

From there we hit the showers and went to church. The Mr. got a nice piece of pie.

Then we went to Walmart. Seriously, it was like a joke waiting for a punch line.
2 whites, a black, an Asian and a Hispanic go walking into a Walmart... Walking out with 3 screaming kids, two bags of stuff and setting off the alarm, it was like white trash in motion.

Then we took the adventure on the road to McDonald's. Yeah, just picture the fun. We take the 12 passenger bus into the drive through, order 3 happy meals, 2 mighty kid meals, 2 meal deals and 2 extra orders of chicken nuggets, all with special instructions. You know, a happy meal with apples not fries, white milk, two with fries and chocolate milk, and on and on and on. We pull ahead to the pay window and they're double checking our order because, really, how many people come through the drive through and ring up a $30 + order!

After that it was pure exhausted collapse!

Today we've just been running around with laundry and packing and visits. We're trying to get The Mr. on his plane on time and Baby #2 back to his family. We're working to get The Little Mr.'s ready to go spend a week with Grandma and Grandpa.

Oh the excitement! Oh the chores! Oh the crazies going on around this place!

But there is joy in it all, like the moment we "caught" The Littlest Mr. outside sitting on Little One's tricycle blowing bubbles for Little Miss and Little One. Pure sweetness.
