In light of Thanksgiving right around the corner, the devotional carnival topic is gratefulness. You can stop over to Rachel's beautiful blog by clicking here and reading her thoughts and then everyone else's too. Go on and do it. You know you want to. It'll get you in that holiday mood.
This Thanksgiving we're thankful for a whole lot.
We're thankful for living in a home that we prayed for and dedicated to God and His purposes from day one. This is a Kingdom home. And I am thankful for every opportunity I have to open it up and share it's "homey-ness" with others. I am thankful for every chance to share a comfortable place to rest or a hot shower or a yummy meal a tissue or a prayer.
We're thankful for the opportunity to be a foster family.
We're thankful for all the stuff of life like cars that run pretty well and a warm house. Phones and food and a fixed up fireplace.
We're thankful for books and beds and sunny days and snow storms and November tornadoes.
We're thankful for the relationships that have grown in this year. We're thankful for faithful friends that have stayed exactly the same, pillars.
We're thankful for all those prayers.
We're thankful for a God that hears our prayers. We're thankful for all the answers, even the hard ones.
We're thankful for pretty healthy happy kids.
We're thankful for the 2 years that we were able to be the family of Little One. We're thankful for his new family and his opportunity to grow up with his siblings.
We are.
We're missing him, no doubt, but we're thankful beyond measure for the blessing his little life with us was and we are thankful for whatever amazing life he will lead in the future.
Play along, leave a comment and share what you're thankful for or take this and join the carnival with Rachel Olsen. And if you don't do that, at least pause for a moment and reflect on what exactly you're grateful for.
