The Most Epic Sleep Over Ever & Other Stuff

Let's see if I can get you caught up with the crazy going on around these parts.

Somewhere, in recent past, it seems I've gotten into the habit of sleeping just a wee few hours at night. Probably has something to do with young friends who are not absolutely killed by staying up most of the night and can actually make life happen on a few hours sleep. I may have had a whoops night and closed a bar too, maybe. Any how, what I can tell you, is going to bed at 2 and getting up at 5 is not really working out for me. I can do it once with a good attitude the following day. I can do it twice and still make life happen without being a shrew, but by the 3rd time, well, I need a nap. Yes, I do.

Baseball ended, but the tryouts for next season are tomorrow, so...yeah. Football starts next week. The sports life, is fast moving and well, kind of stinky. I'm glad my van was not the baseball van for this season!

The most epic sleep over ever begins in Sunday. For five short nights our home will sleep the cosy number of 13! Good thing there's three bathrooms! It'll be fun and loud, with 2 toddler 2 year olds, 2 four year olds and 5 more kids just for fun. We're going to be spending most of our time at family camp, but we have some other stuff on tap too. You just might see us around town. We're looking to take in a Brewer game, hit the Horeb pool and make an evening of Stone Fire Pizza fun. In between we're sending one off to football and maybe a couple over to youth group too. Can't hardly wait!

I did actually get my homework done and send in the second assignment. I've received the notice that the next set of books and assignments is making its way across the country by UPS truck and should smack my front door any day now. It's a good challenge. The back to school shock, I mean shopping, is taken care of. Who knew it'd be so hard to find red pencils?

On a much more serious note, I'd love to ask for a few prayers for my brother. I won't bore you with his personal medical details, but let's just say, he's had better days. He could really use your prayers for pain relief, some excellent medical wisdom for doctors to be able to determine exactly what is happening and how to treat it, patience while on indefinite bed rest and provision now that job loss seems to be inevitable yet again. I'll be sending care packages that will include, among other things, books and DVD's, so my other ask would be that if you have books or DVD's that you're done with and need to move on to another happy home, I've got a place for them to go. Text or call to let me know, we're on a screen black out, remember?
