So What Did You Do Today?

I...have a head ache but maybe when I regale you with my day, you'll see why.

It started when I made a list before I went to bed last night and then got longer as my day went on.

Just the phone time today alone is making my head throb. I hate setting up appointments and being on hold. But today, that's what I did, with Culligan, Terminex, the dog groomer, the county, the salon, WIC, the spa, the dentist, the eye clinic and the doctor for myself and all four kids. Take a breath. The doctor had me on hold for ever and then told me they could only schedule for some of us because their computer doesn't go that far into the future. Hello technology, you're really making my life easier.

I filled out forms for a class, for the stupid Census and my foster care license update. I gathered information on land scape companies, the ballet and a church thingy. I spent a ridiculous amount of time texting and messaging while on hold for various above mentioned appointment making calls.

I have a list of things to get done as errands and I think I just plain eliminated my time for getting those done.

Then there is the crazy part of not looking at my date book until well into the morning and realizing that I had a case worker visit scheduled for today. There was the diaper disaster that resulted in extra loads of laundry.

Oh. My. Head.

The kids are all still at school, but I know there will be homework, which will be a battle on a day that looks like summer. We will definitely be grilling out. How could we not? And as I type, I'm texting several people and messaging all at the same time to plan yet another thing.

I got my cape on today, baby.

Know what? It's all good. Even though I'm going wash down a few Tylenol with my Diet Coke this afternoon, it's perfect. I wouldn't want it any other way.

I really wouldn't. It would be to darn dull.
