The prompt today from NaBloPoMo is "What classic movie have you never seen?".
Well, that's a big topic indeed for me. I'm not a movie kind of girl. I don't hate them, but they aren't the sort of activity I jump up for. I'm learning to enjoy sitting and watching, but I still have a little mental battle about the time suck factor of sitting and watching a movie.
I know, it's the same time suck, or less, than reading a novel, but somehow, it's just not the same.
I'm also not sure exactly what constitutes a "classic movie". I suppose I could go Google it, but frankly, I have to drive kids to sports in 10 minutes and I just don't care what movies are classic and which ones aren't.
I'll list a few for you and you can fill the comment boxes with disbelief over movies I haven't seen. I'm betting there aren't too many you'll ask me if I've seen that I'll be able to say, sure, of course I've seen that one.
That's just the way I am.
And I like me this way.
I did end up having to Google because I see so few movies I couldn't create a list of titles of movies I haven't seen. I checked out the AFI 100 Classic Movie list. I've seen roughly 15 of those movies.
Your turn. Ask away. I love to hear the "have you seen this movie question". I really do. Besides, I wonder what you think is a "classic" film.
